One of the constitutional objectives of the BHCC is to organise the annual fund-raising charity event on

the second Sunday in March each year. Over many, many years, Cure Cancer ("CC"), has been the chosen charity for the club.

This has resulted in the club raising over $700,000 and given the name “little club with a big heart”.

BHCC is also the longest community group that has supported Cure Cancer* which is dedicated to funding crucial cancer research from Australia’s brightest emerging minds.

BHCC would not be able to undertake such an event without the support of its members and their boats, as well as businesses, large and small, which assist with catering, raffle prizes and/or auction items, and in most cases free-of-charge.

Below are those organisations that have helped in the past, present and we trust, if able, will continue to do so in the future.

* CC believe early-career researchers who offer new ideas and challenging perspectives are the key to advancing the fight against ALL types of cancer.
