Commodore's Christmas Raft Up Lunch/Weekend 2020

8-10 November 2020

On Saturday 12 December a small fleet of BHCC boats meandered up the Hawkesbury River to officially moor, and raft up, on the Club’s newest mooring (albeit the transfer of the existing one from Spencer).

The founding party included Adios, Moonstruck, Isola and The Main Game with the honours being granted to Graham and Jenny Turley (Adios) to pick up the mooring line.

The mooring is nestled in Joe Crafts Bay (some 400 m from the Berowra Ferry (as one Flag Officer, who will remain nameless) now concedes could be 4 x 400m) together with three public and two Berowra Waters Club moorings.

As part of the Annual Commodore’s Christmas Party, the founding party tendered down to the Berowra Waters Marina to be met by other club members who chose different modes of transport for the day. A five-course meal was enjoyed over four hours of much conversation about upcoming Christmas and Summer on the Water plans.

It was concluded that the Berowra Waters Club mooring will provide many opportunities for members to explore that waterway and enjoy the indescribable benefits of being out on the water with family and friends.
