About Our Instructor

Our member, Rod McGibbon, who is a First Aid Trainer with a wealth of experience including the Surf Life Saving Association will lead the session.

Topics Covered

Rod will guide us through treatments for common boating-related injuries, including:

  1. Stings
  2. Snake bites
  3. Oyster cuts
  4. Burns
  5. Severe sunburn
  6. Heat stroke
  7. Heart attack
  8. Basic CPR
  9. Use of a defibrillator

This interactive session will feature practical tasks and ample time for questions.

Dinner

Pizza will be served to satisfy your appetites. Please feel free to bring your own drinks.

Should anyone like to achieve a certification from the night – please contact Rod McGibbon before the evening (there may be an additional course and fee required).
