We have enjoyed some great fun Australia Day celebrations over the years in locations from Lake Macquarie to Port Hacking. This year we are again staying close to home in the magnificent Refuge and America Bay.
Our BHCC fleet will gather with boats joining, be it for 4 days or 4 hours, from Thursday 25 January. The celebrations will kick off from Friday as boats gather on the moorings at the eastern end of America Bay.
Sunday morning will be a relaxing start to Australia Day, maybe some Aussie trivia and warm up exercises in preparation for our annual beach cricket match with our friends from Twin Bridges Cruising Club.
The match will get underway as the tide drops early-afternoon on Sunday. This is a fun and unique match where the condition of the mud pitch will not be assessed with a key, but by a yabby pump being pushed…
