We’re going to “hit the road” for a scenic drive, taking in 5 car ferry crossings to keep with the nautical theme. Gather at Wisemans Ferry Pub for lunch.

Member Gary Hobson has planned a great fun day. Come and join us for this mid-week car drive with a nautical theme, as we cross the magnificent Hawkesbury River on all 5 ferries currently in use. We closely follow both Hawkesbury and McDonald Rivers with near continuous superb river and rural views.
The basic plan:
- Meet at Empire Marina, ready for a 9am start
- A brief pit stop at St Albans
- Lunch at Wisemans Inn
- Pit stop and farewell at The Vicar - Dural
The planned route includes 10km of unsealed road, which is in good condition (better than most NSW tarmac, country roads). Any vehicle will suffice but if you have an SUV or the like this would be road suitable and the extra height affords slightly better views. Be mindful of the sharp incline of ferry approaches.
Participants will be provided with more detail of the event, route guide and a google maps link, in advance.
Your BHCC apparel is welcome.
