Peats Bite

6 - 7 April 2019

As we are fairly new to the group Ron and I were keen to do the Peats Bite weekend, and explore more of the Hawkesbury with experienced people. We set off from Bobbin Head at 9.30am and cruised to America’s Bay. There we met up with a number of other boats in the group and followed them up to Peats Bite and were given a mooring on the pontoon.

The weather was superb! Drinks on arrival, very relaxed outdoor setting and we were even allowed to take our geriatric dog. The lunch was fantastic, around 5 courses during the afternoon. The staff were friendly and very helpful. We were able to get up and wander around between courses to have a chat with like minded friendly people, enjoy the scenery and serenity. We were entertained by a singer who we thought was great!

As the evening wore on we sat and watched the sun go down over the water. It was such a lovely afternoon in a part of the Hawkesbury we hadn’t seen before. We would love to give it another try next year!
