Peats Bite Long Lunch

7 April 2018

Saturday 7 April 2018 was a perfect day to cruise up the river to Peats Bite with temperatures in the low 30’s, which was really comfortable as our tables were on the western side.

We are so lucky to have such wonderful places to go on our enclosed waterways.

Stepping off our boats it is always like arriving at a 5 star resort, and we were welcomed with a refreshing Pimms Punch to quench our thirsts.

The Cruising Club members were served exquisite dishes of mouth watering food over  several  hours,  accompanied  by  our  own

beverages of choice, as is always the way Peats Bite provides food. The dishes were superb. Magnificent fresh oysters, succulent chicken, lamb and salmon dishes to name a few that were on par with Australia’s best restaurants.

We were entertained by the incredible Tammy Miljoen, who is everybody’s lifelong friend by the time they leave. She has an incredible way of drawing everyone together even though there are several groups of guests dining on the day. It is always great to feel so welcome by Tanya, who is a such a fantastic hostess. Dancing and participation is always encouraged and enjoyed by many.

Whether we were seated to eat, or taking in the sights, there are many places to wander around and relax during the day, and in the evening for those who chose to stay overnight on the marina, it’s a moment to sit back and take in the magnificent evening as it got dark.

It was a great relaxed way to catch up with other club members, or get to know better, those you didn’t know so well over an extended period of time.

Always looking forward to next time ...
