We’re going to “hit the road” for a scenic drive, taking in a combination of nostalgic old Pacific Hwy and rural country roads

Location
25 Aug 2022, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm
North Turramurra, 1002 Bobbin Head Rd, North Turramurra NSW 2074, Australia
Details
You would be aware that our plan for the drive was to cross the mighty Hawkesbury on the 5 ferries that currently ply the River. However, a recce of the intended route has revealed the true devastation that the recent floods have caused the McDonald River & Hawkesbury River districts and, of course, the roads we had planned.
Therefore, we have plotted a completely alternative course that should provide a comfortable mid-week departure from the normal daily grind.
We will still leave Empire Marina at 9am, following some wake-up coffee and a crew briefing at 8.45.
The route is a combination of nostalgic old Pacific Hwy and rural country roads.
About three and a half hours driving time, a little over 200kms, plus a midcourse pit stop will see us at our lunch venue of The Mooney Mooney Club about 12.45.
Thank you to those who have already registered, we hope the change will not dissuade you.
If you have not yet registered but would like to join the fleet, now is the time to register.
We have made a lunch reservation at the Mooney Mooney, but we do need to advise them of our numbers by Monday 22nd .
Detailed route guide and some supporting notes will be provided before and/or at the briefing.
Your BHCC apparel is welcome.
