Hardy's Bay village is more like a seaside hamlet rather than a suburb of Gosford and the Gentral Coast.  There are good general produce shops,  a pub,  coffee shops and restaurant.  Dinghy's may left at the jetty in relative safety and will be in sight if you are at the shops.  High tide dinghy access to the foreshore is good with a sandy beach,  not recommended at low tide as it is quite muddy.  Great views up the broadwater to Gosford (see picture).
